About twenty minutes into the meditation, I was relaxed and feeling quite deep. Suddenly, I was immersed in an immensely bright light. I was surrounded and completely taken back by the intensity of the light. My instant thought was that someone had opened the drapes and the sun was shining on me. But I knew that couldn't be it. It was much brighter than the sun, and while sunlight has a yellow cast, this light was unbelievably white. It was so white, in fact, that I can't describe it accurately. In what seemed about two seconds after I went into the light, a wave of energy swept through me. It was without any doubt the most powerful thing I ever felt, yet it was not painful, only powerful. Later, I tried to put the experience into perspective. The only comparison I could find was it felt like I would imagine it would feel if I was placed into the core of a nuclear power plant. That is how powerful the energy was.
